For Lake Mcclellan Campground: Very quiet and peaceful on the weekdays but is a huge draw for atv’s with miles of atv trails. Would not recommend on weekends. Water spickets look 100 years old and leak. Never saw camp host; some trash around that the host should be picking up but isn’t . $10 with senior pass.

Christina

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: Do not recommend. Maybe fine for a night but it felt run down and we had no cell signal. It’s also out of the way and there’s nothing around.

Denise

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: Beautiful spot, nice view of small lake. Enjoyed the morning doves and hearing coyote at night. We plugged into electric and water. Not crowded and very quiet.

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: GREAT campground. Definitely go here if Palo duro is full!

Lisa

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: Perfect place on a weekday to do a little riding. Bathrooms are closed, but site was flat. Had to scrape under a few trees to get in with our motorhome.

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: Great little secret on weekdays; weekends is subject to avalanche of ATV vehicles from nearby Pampa, Tx pop 70,000. Has miles of ATV (NOT “Jeeps”) which is the big draw. Four sub campsites: ATV with a few full hookups, a primitive backcountry site with 4 sites, lakeside sites with mixed full and primitive sites, and a fourth across the lake on the south side of the lake with primitive sites ( You pass the turnoff on the way in, but have to go to main site to register.). Great thing is the very near the I-40 rest area is on of the nicest in Tx if McClellan is full.

Anna

For Lake Mcclellan Campground: There is a dump station at one of the 2 entrances. Water and electric was only 15.00 with America the beautiful pass. We were only ones here other than host. Very nice, quiet pull thru on the lake!
