Nice well maintained TX state park. Water and electric only but there is a dump station. Clean bathhouse with showers. My issue is with quality of electricity. I was in site 13 and it fried my surge protector. It was about 105 degrees, so I had to pack up and move to another site at 10 pm. This was NO fun. Also. The park is advertised as a international dark sky area. But they leave the bathhouse lights on all night. This has the effect of a giant search light, which ruins the whole dark sky. When I mentioned this to the ranger at front gate, I was told they have a dark sky “viewing area.” It’s about a half mile from campground !! This makes it useless to most people. I will NOT visit this park again.

Very nice State Park facility. It was very empty probably because it was so hot (100 degrees in June). Had our pick of back-in sites that our 41' Fifth Wheel would fit into. No sewer at the site but dump station is on the campsite loop to use on your way out. Nice Texas history museum at the headquarters that is worth a look.

Very quiet, dark skies was great at night. Lots of stars I don't normally see.
