For Texas Route 66 RV Park: What a wonderful find on Route 66. We loved the space, the charm and the passion of the new owner John and Crystal have to resort the RV part to its former glory. We would definitely recommend you stay the night or few nights.

For Texas Route 66 RV Park: Don’t let the interesting drive to get here deter you. It is located on a portion of the old Route 66 road that still exists and runs along side I-40. What a great little campground! This place had been a former campground that had lain dormant for a few years. The new owners (John and Crystal) are RVers themselves and are trying to bring it back to its former Route 66 glory. They are even eliminating some of the old crowded-in sites to make more room for all the remaining sites. 30amp site cost me $20 and the WiFi is great. There is a Conoco gas station in town that was used for the cartoon “Cars”. We will definitely be back to this future gem of a park.

For Texas Route 66 RV Park: This park is a work in progress, but not to be missed. The couple renovating it have amazing levels of energy and big Texas smiles and friendly attitudes. Soon it will be a ‘must stop’ along this stretch. They are likely to be the spark that reignites the town of Shamrock, too.

Susan Bennett

For Texas Route 66 RV Park: This park is under new ownership and the couple is very friendly. Although the park currently does not have many amenities, they're working very hard to clean up the park and improve it. The office is undergoing major renovations. They have all new picnic tables. The sites currently available are gravel, long, and pretty flat from side to side but tilted a little from front to back. There is a lot of space between grass rows and they're taking out some hookups to make other spaces larger. I stayed two nights in a 30 foot travel trailer, and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Charles Brackett

For Texas Route 66 RV Park: I agree with the other comment except to note that as of April 2019, the toilet facilities are not functional. Large sites, quiet and far from highway, owners very nice and helpful. In a Roadtrek

Bryan Reid

For Texas Route 66 RV Park: New owners are very nice and helpful. They are working hard to completely renovate the park--new electrical, tables (recently stained and varnished), etc. Would give it 5 stars once it's complete. Sites have good space.
