For Pioneer County Park: This is a lovely , quiet, clean park in the middle of nowhere that is completely overlooked The spaces are a very good size and especially since there is almost no one else here! Unlike the terrain on the road to get here, the park is very nice. Covered picnic tables for each site, lots of dumpsters so you don’t have to walk far, a dump station and at each site there is water and 30 or 50 amp. The highway is elevated so the traffic noise is minimal and the highway is certainly not overused. Unfortunately , there is. Thing to do around here but walk or bike so bring your own entertainment The town of Wellington is abjectly poor and fuel is no cheaper Han along Interstate 40.

For Pioneer County Park: Very nice camping area next to a small river or creek. A lot of grass and trees. Plenty of room for kids or pets to run. Bathrooms did NOT smell at all & appeared to be clean! We stayed in May and were the only campers. The cost is $15 & $20 now, paid by honor system. ATT hotspot was good enough to watch DISH Anywhere. I would stay again.

For Pioneer County Park: We stayed there for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. A hidden gem. Clean restrooms, but no showers. Two nice pavilions for groups and children's playground equipment to keep the little ones occupied. There is a little river on the south end of the property. Very quiet and for $10 for a 30 amp hook-up per night you can't beat it. Great park hosts. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it.

For Pioneer County Park: This is a quiet little park with pull through camping and 30 and 50 amp service. There is a dump station and for $15 a night for 50 amp it is OK for a the three day limit to stop over. I stayed in #1 and was next to the old bridge foundation that Bonnie & Clyde made their famous red river plunge and almost got caught. Avoid this on Labor Day as it is a big Mexican festival day with around a thousand people according to the park host who has been there over 15 years. It is a famous gathering spot for locals using it for family picnics, but in no way do they shun visitors as stated in another review.

For Pioneer County Park: Looked like some residents control the place. Did not look safe with them glaring at us as we came in. We left.
