For Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort: The park is very large and can accommodate any type of camper. The infrastructure is very old in need of repair. The roads are in terrible condition including large potholes and missing asphalt. The pool area is very nice but not heated so we were not able to use the pool. Facilities all seemed nice and clean including nice laundry facilities. This place would be perfect for families that would use all of the amenities including the pool, beach, tennis courts and basketball courts. If you do not plan on using the facilities, the campsites are nothing special and on the pricey side near $60 per night.

For Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort: We really loved our experience at this Thousand Trails site. Saw a couple of negative posts, but, I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly from the staff to the other campers. It’s a campsite, not the Taj Mahal. Great access to the lake and places to fish from land. Tons of things for the kids to do. We enjoyed it so much we went ahead and joined as members. Another trip planned for New Years! Don’t think twice about camping here and they keep plenty of sites available for non members to book. Enjoy, that’s what camping is all about!

For Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort: This is easily the best Thousand Trails campground that we have ever stayed in (and we've been to dozens of their parks!) Easy check-in at the ranger station and they let you choose your site. TIP: Section B is the best section by far. It contains both pull-through and back-in sites with beautiful concrete pads. Also great electrical posts with 110 volt plugs. Wow! We stayed in site B10 and it was fantastic. Other sections have gravel sites with some pull-throughs. The park is huge so it's great for biking. We paid $20.00 for 1 week of Fastwave wifi and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone got 3 bars and the hotspot worked ok. The section B bathrooms were incredible! Wood paneled stalls and black marble sinks. The showers are large and they have removable showerheads. Very clean and impressive. There are 2 laundry rooms and both were well maintained. Dryers were hot and also quite a deal at only $1.50 for 60 minutes. All amenities except the pool were closed due to Covid-19.

For Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort: This is a Thousand Trails membership park, and one of the nicer ones I've been to so far. It's very apparent they're putting a lot of money into this place to get it up to snuff. The majority of the park is older and looks fairly typical as far as campground sites go, but they just built a brand new section with large sites and huge concrete pads and wifi antennas all over the place. It feels more like an RV resort. They're also building out another section with brand new cottages for sale. Looks like a mini HOA neighborhood. The bathroom facilities are very clean and above average. The pool looks very nice. Awesome dog park. Easy lake access. This place has it all.

For Lake Conroe RV & Camping Resort: When I arrived it had been raining for a few days and the entire place was one giant mud pit. I was able to find one back in spot, but it had huge trenches from where someone else had already tried backing in. I ended up in the cris-cross pull throughs where you are front door to front door with one neighbor and a couple feet away from your pillar-sharing neighbor. They were so muddy that workers came through and dug out the sewer connections. The power connection my pillar was broken so that the tones were exposed.

I had called and left a voicemail with the space number as instructed, but in the middle of the night I got a call asking my space number because they didn't know how to use their voicemail. I hadn't written it down so I mentioned I would get up and get dressed and get a flashlight and go find out. Rather than suggesting waiting for the morning she agreed I should do that. But then again wasn't available to take the call with the number. After I left when I was driving down the freeway she called again asking for the space number!

The pool looked nice enough but I didn't use any of the facilities because it would have required slogging through the mud. They are building two new huge sections of permanent spaces with concrete pads and paved roads... while the transient spaces look like they're still part of a construction zone!
