For Calf Creek Campground: Oct. 2020: Not sure what or where the previous review is referring to, unless they completely missed the big sign and the obvious access road for the campground and day use area. In any case, we stopped here to walk our dog, eat lunch, and fill a few of our “extra” water containers. A sign at the entrance prohibits rigs 25’ and over. This is an optimistic length restriction on a busy day, since there is only a small day use parking lot which when full of parked cars leaves no room for anything longer than a typical full-size van to park or turn around. The road does continue on to the camp sites, but it’s very narrow, has a stream crossing, and only a very tight loop at the end to possibly turn around at. So if you’re driving a longer rig, try parking in the somewhat flat dirt area just down the access road from the highway. The day use area has several picnic tables under shade/shelter structures, some irrigated lawn areas, and access to the nearby stream. There’s a drinking water faucet with a very thin nozzle and spring-loaded handle next to the handicapped only parking spaces at the northern end of the day use area. The water flow is slow, but we were able to fill three 5-gallon water containers without imposing on anyone else, because the campground area also has two faucets, and no one else in the day use area was looking to get water at that time. In fact the day use facilities look seldom used. We saw that most all vehicles belonged to people who were hiking the 6 mile trail to the upstream waterfall, meaning that there is only a very slow turnover of cars in the day use parking lot. We saw several cars parking along the already narrow one lane entrance road, and when that limited parking became occupied other cars coming in then leaving because they had nowhere at all to park but possibly somewhere along the highway. All the camp sites were occupied. They all have a parking spot about the size of a passenger car, with an adjacent tent site. There’s a good amount of trees and shrubs that create some shade and privacy. The stream flows right at the edge of a few camp sites. There are signs warning not to occupy those sites if there’s any possibility of a flash flood from the stream.

For Calf Creek Campground: The gps was a bit off and no decent camping. Just an overnight stopover off the road.
