For Goblin Valley State Park: Stayed here 9/5-6/22 in a 39ft 5er. A last minute decision, having left Moab early due to excessive heat. Pricey at $45/night for NO hook-ups, but does include the $20 park entrance fee. Stayed on site #20, which afforded a nice view of the surrounding cliffs. Overall, a pleasant campground, with just a few other campers. Nice, level spots, clean rest rooms. Only a few sites suitable for our length. Ranger was helpful in suggesting nearby sights. So glad we took the time to explore Little Wild Horse Canyon!! Only hiked about 2-2.5 miles of its 8 mile loop, but were so impressed with the slot canyon!! Walked among the goblins at night for interesting pictures. Next time, I think we'll try one of the nearby dispersed BLM camping areas.

For Goblin Valley State Park: We visited Goblin Valley State Park in 1995 and what a change now! Completed with Visitor Center, decent campground, enhanced road access, panoramic picnic area, etc. The State has put campground fee, $30/night (stiff fee for non-hookup site) to very good use. Bathroom facility has hot showers, clean flush toilets, functional sink area, and even strange dishwashing stall outside. Water spigots can be found near dump station, site 22, 21, 16. The enclosed picnic table at all sites are welcome for this windy and possibly very dusty area. Our site#22 was an ADA site, but became walk-up for everyone today, which it’s pull-thru was refreshingly convenient. Most sites here require to park your vehicle and setup your tent short distance away (parking maybe too tight for your trailer+tow vehicle), while other sites are back-ins and few pull-thrus. No WiFi and no cell service at the campground due to the park remote location, but 1-2 bars LTE can be had at elevated parking spots. Dump station island and trailered trash receptacle are in front of bathroom. We liked our paved pull-thru site with its water spigot and close proximity to bathroom, but accessibility to those from other sites might be a hassle for some (either drive to, or trudging in soft mud if rain the night before). We might stay again if campground has more walk-up sites available.
