For Lake Canyon Rec Area Campground: Plenty of room. It is almost all laid out for OHV and they go from morning to night. No one obeys the 5 mph speed limit.

For Lake Canyon Rec Area Campground: Stayed here for 2 nights. Very difficult to find, backtracked twice. It wasn't till I got out of the car and walked over to the information board on the side of the road that I was sure we were in the right place. It was worth it. the camp sites were widely separated. I felt almost as if we had the place to ourselves. It cost $5 a night for relative seclusion in a wooded site and a lovely view of an alpine lake. We stayed an extra day and would have stayed longer if our schedule permitted. Main dirt road in good condition. Some of the access roads to individual campsites were a little rough, but no problem for our 25 foot travel trailer. Some less secluded sites had easier access and would be appropriate for bigger rigs. This is as close to wilderness camping as you can get with reasonable access.
