For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: For a National park this is about as good as it's going to get. Nice paved roads, multiple convenience centers spread throughout the park. visitors center within walking distance and probably the best we have been to.

For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: Paved roads and sites in Watchman. Close to the Visitors Center, a few trails/walkways and the shuttle stop. Verizon two bar LTE. No privacy, sewer or water hookups. Great scenery. The shuttle busses started on the day we left so I don't know if you can drive your vehicle on the park roads as we did during our stay. Terrible parking along the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive at the major stops. No showers in the park campgrounds. So many languages heard as we walked around. Saw two cliff climbers, several mule deer and scenic eye candy to last a lifetime.

For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: Great location on the edge of town and the park. This is a very busy campground. We were in a site next to the bathhouse by the group camping area - would not recommend due to tons of loud kids constantly behind us. But that wasn't anything we couldn't handle. The sites were nice and most had pretty good privacy and some shade. You need the shade as it's definitely hot during the day. Clean, pretty level and nice. Having the river run right next to camp was great. Book very early if you want one of those sites. There are tons of campers from around the world at this campground. Beware there can be lots of ants here during the summer.

For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: We are new to this "RV underworld" as my husband calls it. This was our 4th time in our trailer and day 3 of a 15 day trip from UT to Oklahoma. The site was small and everyone is pretty close together. No water or sewer hookups at the sites but we did have electric. I knew that so I was very happy that just inside the campground checkin there was water to fill up with and a dump to use in the way out. I wasn't sure if that was the regular way no hook up camp grounds did things. We are currently on day 12 of 15 and I haven't ran into that again yet. So I would say I really liked that.

I stayed here in 2004 and remembered that it was a great location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The proximity to EVERYTHING Zion is amazing. I can't wait to go back.

For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: Excellent location for Zion. Best sites are on the virgin river. We had a site with a pull through, electric, and right on a great sandy beach. This campground is understandably very busy and full in the summer.

Watchman Campground

For Watchman Campground - Zion National Park: Couldn't be better for a National Park!
Large well spaced sites with electric hookups. Plenty of shade trees. Clean recently redone facilities. Short drive to town, or shuttle in season. November was uncrowded and peaceful.
