For Chesapeake Campground: We had a enjoyable visit. We stayed 3 nights. We had a super long pull thru. Perfect asphalt pad. Under great old pines trees. Lots of shade. We had full hook ups. You can tell this long ago really great park. Yes you have to drive pass a boneyard of RV’s (storage lot). Hey all those rv’s brings in cash! Once you get to the very back it is woods. Yes there is a lot of full timers. One couple been there 15 years. We were told by one of the new full timers. Yes quiet a few trailers look a little undesirable ( ok lots of old pos’s). But every one seemed friendly. Luckily we were up front and didn’t have a direct view of them. We have been traveling all summer. Seems like this is becoming more and more normal soooo many full timers. I fell like this is a sign of the current economic times. People can’t not afford brick and mortar homes anymore. We have notice too during our travels we are asked how old our rv is more and more. I understand now staying here. Overall we had good experience. People in the front office were extremely nice to us.

For Chesapeake Campground: Very interesting park older but if you like horses you will love this park right in the middle of a working horse farm !!!! As you drive in you see all these mostly older campers which are there for year round storage but when you reach the woods it’s a great place not perfect but ok and a runners and bike paradise with a mostly flat paved trail along a canal

For Chesapeake Campground: Absolutely disgusting park. Mud everywhere. Sites are on top of each other. A good portion of the RVs in the park are old, and falling apart. Most campers appear to be staying year round. Never again.

For Chesapeake Campground: Terrible experience! Expensive, they charge extra for every person over 2 people, including kids. Roads are very narrow and difficult to get around. Everything was muddy. Nearly everyone here seems to live here permanently, and have stuff and cars parked everywhere, making it almost impossible to get into our site. Then when we went to use the dump station it overflowed everywhere. We are still sitting here waiting for someone to come back and pump the dump station tank. We are pretty easy going, and I pretty much never complain, but this was a horrible experience and I want to save others from the same.

ECMO4

For Chesapeake Campground: Older campground with a selection of amenities and a decent location. The northern sites are all in the trees and mixed in with long-term campers while the southern sites are all in the open. There are always a few spots available for single-night campers but need to check ahead for multiple nights. Overall a nice spot at a decent price if you don't want to be in the middle of the beach.
