For Bethel Recreation Area: Very nice stay. We have been here two weeks. Full hookup and level. Bathhouse is very clean. Also has a laundry room. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We are helping our daughter and her family move into quarters (3 min. away). We will definitely camp here again.

For Bethel Recreation Area: So very disappointed in the upkeep of this FamCamp. It could be such a nice place if they would maintain the spaces, interior roads and vegetation. The grills and tables are filthy from years of neglect. They need to be power washed then maintained between campers. Food, mold, mildew and other indescribable substances cover them. Trash, old RV parts, discarded toys and other items can be found at the back of several spaces. Low hanging branches above and to the side of the roads and spaces scratch the medium to large RVs. All corners of the roads are deeply rutted due to limited road size and people trying to avoid trees and parked vehicles. Some campers have been here for years which shouldn't be allowed. There are trailer parks around the area suitable for permanent residency. The only place adequately maintained is the office pavilion and even that is outdated. Dog runs and pet cleanup supplies are not available. Pets are allowed to potty anywhere in the facility and several pet owners do not bother to clean up after their pets. I believe better management is required. Even if funds are limited general maintenance done on a daily basis would go a long way towards improving the quality of this place. The web site needs updating. The entry sign on Saunders is hard to see on a narrow busy street where there will be an accident at the turn in. No posted signs for the office or instructions for campers. No campsite information or rules provided at check in. WiFi is nonexistent beyond the office area. No area lights around the interior roads or spaces for safety at night. The list goes on and I attribute it to poor management. What a shame. This could be such a nice place but it just lacks organization, cleanliness and class. FHU at $20 a night is usually a bargain but not so much here.

For Bethel Recreation Area: Quiet park. All sites are 50 amp. Sites are small and close. Saw a few sites with cement pads. Lots of trees! No signs for checking in. We knew our site #, so we parked the RV and then looked for office.
After you enter FamCamp, building on left is "office" Monday thru Friday. On weekends, you have to go to Boathouse. To get to Boathouse, continue on the road over a narrow one lane bridge. Boathouse will be in left. I would NOT recommend driving or towing your RV to the Boathouse!
Restrooms/Showers were clean but old.
No wifi. No information given at check-in. We have stayed at better FamCamps. Paid $20/night
