For Small Country Campground: Definitely off the beaten path but we really enjoyed our brief stay here. We stayed in site 15 which is at the top of the hill and overlooks the lake. Plenty to do with a family and I’m sure in the summer it’s even more fun. we played horseshoes, walked the lake trail, and my daughter loved the jumping pillow. Laundry facilities were great as well! A lot of permanent residents but they seem to be in a separate area.

For Small Country Campground: Way down country roads but quite a place. Lake with beach, pool, basketball courts, corn hole, horseshoes, kids bouncy space and playground, and much more. Sites are scattered among trees, some shaded and some sunny. Roads are gravel and dusty, sites mostly gravel with grass between. Site spacing is typical close commercial.

For Small Country Campground: Great super friendly and helpful camp - shout out to Nancy! Helped us in the middle of the night on a Sunday. Campground was pretty, wooded, nice playground, clean pool, fun inflatables and more available. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

BAS

For Small Country Campground: Lots of camping options. We were in a tandem pull through section which was nice. Lots of things to do for families. We enjoyed the miniature golf course which is surprisingly nice. Wifi worked ok, and cable was ok, but not high def. they had several events in the park while we were there. Several music weekends and games. People running the park were nice. The park does need some investment and upkeep. The roads washed out with every storm. They did get out and grade them some when they could. Not much near the park and walmart is 20 min. away. A couple small restaurants in nearby town of Louisa. Good location to get out to Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, and Shenandoah mountains. We stayed here for a month in a 5th Wheel trailer.

LT

For Small Country Campground: Great campsite. Range of options for campsite location from full shade to full sun. Nice setup and very friendly hosts. Clean and well maintained. Very helpful folks. Great location for weekend activities and lots to do whether you have kids or just enjoying the outdoors. we stayed here and used this as the base for driving into Richmond and Charlottesville to visit the sites there. Perfect location, quiet, not train tracks or airport nearby. Highly recommend this location.

Michelle

For Small Country Campground: Stayed over extended Labor Day weekend and found this campground to be absolutely the best we have visited so far this year! On the weekends there are all day children's activities. Tremendous amount of activities for kids with super playground areas and lake toys etc. Great family place.
