For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: We live in our RV, travelling the country, so we stay in at least 25+ RV parks a year, and whenever making plans, we look for the nicest RV Parks we can find in the area. This is certainly at the very top of any KOA we've stayed in, and it's one of the top 10% of the parks we've visited in the country. Well kept, beautiful grounds, loads of space between rigs, great facilities, two pools, quiet, nice and helpful staff . . . it's got it all.

DaVida

For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: Typical KOA, wide open sites, little privacy. Nice grassy field, some shade trees, ping pong table under a tarp tent, winds make playing tricky. Friendly staff, grounds well kept. Strange bathhouse, laundry had only 2 of 4 washers & 3 of 4 dryers working, and to use it, you hafta walk past the clean enough women & men’s restrooms, which have see-thru glass on the top half?! Site 14 is gravel, narrow, on a hill, patio an awkward step over a 4x4 post, a risky tripper coming out our rig. A nearby pasture was stinky when the wind blew from that direction. Follow their directions, GPS might send you down the narrow road coming from the Skyline Drive, which has a railroad crossing that would not be good for RVs.

Spyder

For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: 4 Stars for Allstays Review: Stayed 1 night. Overall very nice property (this is a KOA Holiday property). Beautiful grounds and setting. The staff was helpful. We booked a deluxe patio site. Sites were plenty long for Coach and Tow Car and spacious. Site was situated so no RV right next door. Nice large rock/gravel coverage so no tracking into RV. Hookups good. Bathhouse was a bit dated but very clean and well kept with lots of hot water. Would definitely stay here again.

For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: We generally do not stay at KOAs as they are pricey and we don’t need all the amenities. However this is where we stay when ever we go to Luray which is about once a year. We have 30 ft travel trailer. It is a beautiful, well kept, peaceful campground with a huge green space center. The owner has put a lot of money into improvements. We had a pull through spot at the top of the hill overlooking the field. Paved sites, paver patios, fire pit, and picnic table. We especially like it because we can ride (bikes) from the campground to the shenandoah National Park and George Washington forest. Perfect place to stay if visiting skyline drive, Luray Caverns, or other attractions. Despite the cost we will continue to return.

Mac

For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: Beautiful, peaceful campground! Very close to Shenandoah National Park and downtown Luray. We had a concrete patio with fire pit, chairs and beautiful sunset view over the mountains. Will definitely be back!

Mitch Smith

For Spacious Skies Shenandoah Valley: This is one of the best kept parks we’ve been too. They really do an exceptional job on upkeep. We will use this when in this area. I only have 2 small issues with the campground (CG): 1. The pools close very early during the summer but the staff is pretty accommodating in regards to that. 2. The bath/bathroom houses are not cooled. Not huge, but something that matters for some. The positives outweigh that by a landslide: Huge grass area for kids to run wild within the CG (probably 4/5 acres). Large pet park that is very shaded. Plenty of grass around the camp spots. All spots are fairly level, our site was spot on. Large screened in party area with brick oven grille. Recessed fire pits, very clean. 2 pools, 1 for kids(3-5 ft) and 1 for adults. Beautiful farm fields surrounding it, complete with a herd of cattle. Park is east/west oriented so no early/evening glare and perfect sunsets. Very close to skyline parkway as well as Luray. Fenced in on 3 sides and very kid friendly. Main park area is several hundred feet off of the road.
