For Fort Chiswell RV Park: January 2020. Great for an overnight stop. Nice people. WiFi was just ok. $37.50 with Good Sam discount.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Wonderful clean shady quiet park. Absolutely perfect for a night stopover. Easy on and off I-81. I couldn’t recommend it more. Not a “destination campground”, but as I said, couldn’t be better for a night.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: What a lovely and quiet park. There are quite a few full time permanent rv's that could use a cleaning and their surrounding sites trimmed and cleaned up. Heated pool, small game room, laundry is very clean $1.50 wash/$1.00 dry, bathrooms are large and very clean. There are sites that are shaded, some in the open, some with concrete slabs most are grass/gravel but level. Easy off/on I-81 within .2 mile. We would return if in area.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: I was skeptical of the reviews, because they were so good. We stayed here last night, and this was one of the best stops that we have ever made. The bath/shower house was ultra clean. Wi-fi. Cable. Full hook up allows us to do a proper tank flush that you just can’t do with other people waiting for a dump station. Halfway to everything. Quiet. Not a place to stay more than over night, unless you are seeing the area, but they have a heated pool that we didn’t use, but did notice it being cleaned. Absolutely a repeat. The folks staying long term even keep their sites clean. And the cows and sheep grazing were fun to watch. They made more noise than the near by highway. If that bothers y’all, you might want a hotel room. And the sites were as close to level as you could hope for.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Good RV Park for overnight stay; close to I-81 / I-77. Pull through, gravel, level sites with full hookup. Heated pool! $37.50 per night. Since we spent two nights, we visited Mount Airy, NC; Andy Griffith’s hometown. A fun place to experience Mayberry recreated. We travel in a 38’ motorhome with towed.

Karen

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: This was a very nice stop. It is next to a cow pasture, but not smelly. It was cool seeing the animals. Everything was very clean. We would stay here again.

Mac

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Great overnight spot with easy on and off from I-81. Very quiet, pull through sites, around 10 spots were concrete pads and others were gravel. The only negative we found were a lot of long term/worker sites that look trashy in the back and scattered thru the park.
