For North Beach Campground: June 2025: Staying in site 108 with a Class B camper van. A very pleasant campground overall. It’s an easy 15- minute bike ride to downtown Burlington, which offers many shopping and dining options. The office staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Sites are close together and short, but most are level and have some shade from the many tall trees. The bathrooms including the free showers are utilitarian but clean and adequately maintained. Water faucet locations in some electric/water sites are not ideal, but workable with an extra long hose. Vehicle traffic through the campground to/from the beach day use parking area is busy until the beach closes at dusk. Sites 1 thru 16 get afternoon full sun, so may be hot. The dump station is easily accessible. The waste inlet is set in a large concrete pad surrounded by a 7-inch tall concrete curb. There is non-potable rinse water. This is a university town, and the day use beach is a very popular gathering place for students, who freely engage in all the usual activities and behaviors of their age group. The beach concession stand sells limited food choices, ice cream and alcoholic beverages, including alcoholic drinks to go. The bike path to downtown is paved, wide and heavily used. As the bike path gets closer to downtown (near the dog park and skate park areas) there are several dozen tents and tarp shelters back in the trees and shrubbery along the path. Locals told us to not use the bike path after dark. There are lots of negative reviews in Gxxgle for this campground but I saw little to no evidence of the issues several of those reviewers expressed.

For North Beach Campground: The sites are very close together. There is only enough room for your RV and the picnic table right next to it. We were only able to get our 27 foot trailer in because neighbor sites weren’t filled yet. The same entrance for campers is used for people to get to the beach so on the weekends there is considerable traffic getting in. Narrow roads with lots of speed bumps. You can’t see the beach for the campground but it’s a short walk. The bath houses were nice enough.

For North Beach Campground: Wow! In 20+ years of camping, this was the worst site we’ve ever had. Site was mostly mud and the interior roads haven’t been maintained since the Civil War. This place is an embarrassment to Burlington. Negative stars!

For North Beach Campground: If you are an avid biker or beach bum, this place is heaven and deserves 5 stars. If you are neither, this is not a place for you and it deserves one star.

For North Beach Campground: Sites are muddy and tree roots are in your walking area. Shower house is dismal. Government run site closes showers in mid am for cleaning. The don't even allow you to control your own water temperature. Despite being on the lake you can't even see it. Laundry room is hidden at back of maintenance building and locked so you can't use it. A missed opportunity for greatness.

For North Beach Campground: Wow-what a great place! Accommodations for every type of camper: small tents up to huge motorhomes are all welcome. Size of the sites are just okay. But when you can easily walk to Lake Champlain, putting up with a small site is worth it.
It's great being so close to downtown Burlington, we easily biked along the bike path to get there.
Bathrooms are just ok, and either bring quarters for the shower or use your own, if you have one.
This is a very popular place, and we are already planning when we can return!

For North Beach Campground: Really nice camp ground. Grounds are clean and the staff is very friendly. There are stores, restaurants and a close by. There is a walk/bike path to the city and the beach is really nice. Would go again.
