For Potholes State Park: Campsites are arranged as spokes around several circles with room in the middle of the circle to park boat trailers. There are a lot of trees but places around the perimeter. I found site pictures helpful for selecting a shaded site. Free wifi that is pretty good as free wifi goes. Verizon slow. The “potholes” are a geographic feature that were flooded to create a lake - look on a satellite image to see. There is other interesting countryside to see, including some more potholes. To the east of the lake.

For Potholes State Park: Stayed in the non-service sites, good sized sites with shade but rather dusty. The serviced sites were nice with grass a few trees but very exposed. We camped in August and the bugs were pretty bad. The bathrooms were acceptable, there were only two working showers and on the weekends you have to wait a while to get one. There is a huge field with nice grass that makes for a great place to relax and play. Overall it was a good experience. If you are into boating and fishing this is a great place.

For Potholes State Park: Beautiful, spacious RV and tent campground. I will go there again when I can. Best sites are the non-serviced. Maybe it’s because if staff shortages but the restrooms / trash facilities were quite inadequate. 2 showers for 60 (?) sites, one trash receptacle for entire campground. We were there Wed,Th end of Sept and it was less than 1/2 full. Fri Oct 1 is was booked to capacity (1st weekend of Fall for reduced senior rate for WA residents)

For Potholes State Park: Stayed in tent at site #93 in June. Some trees but little shade. Sites adequate but no privacy. Dirt/gravel tent site. Good place for boaters and fishing. Wildlife sounds in the evening.

For Potholes State Park: Great location, nice fishing. Full hookups, with showers and free WiFi that works. Sites are easy to back in with lots of extra parking. Nice playground and plenty of space for riding bikes and enjoying the outdoors.

For Potholes State Park: It is beautiful here! The sites are large ... Although there isn't tons of privacy because it is big open lawn areas. They have done a nice job of planting trees for shade at each site ... Even if it isn't exactly where the trailer is. Sprinklers running all the time so it's super green here. Right in the water. Bathroom facilities are fine.
