For Lower Falls Campground: Campground was beautiful. Sites were large and far apart from each other. The falls and the hikes are breathtaking and gorgeous. That being said, it’s super popular, so often quite crowded with day use folks. Fir the campsite, there’s no firewood, the lower loop had no water (hand pump was broken), upper loop had a working pump. The drive in was absolutely treacherous.There’s one part that’s gravel for about 300 yards with incredibly steep dips and hills. The physics of the drive and our trailer (25 ft) ultimately took out the motor to our rear stabilizing jacks.The website doesn’t mention the poor roads, so drivers of larger trailers beware!!!

For Lower Falls Campground: Beautiful campground large spacious sites near the Lewis river & situated above the lower falls. Stayed in site 17 for 10 days & enjoyed our stay immensely. Only draw back & the reason for 4 instead of 5 rating. The camp host was gone most of the time. Never saw him clean or prep campsites. Composting toilets are more or less regular vault toilets & they stink. Supposed to be water available in both upper & lower loops but lower loop pump was out of commission so had to go to upper loop for water. Biggest beef was the dogs running loose. There is a leash law in national parks & campgrounds but they were not observed nor enforced by camp host or forest service ranger. We set up a game camera in our site & have numerous videos of various dogs in our site at different times. Complained to both authorities but were told they are dog lovers so pretty much indicated no action would be taken. Which was the case.

For Lower Falls Campground: Beautitful camping amongst the trees. Hikes are great. Waterfalls too. Have to take a chance on the long drive in to get a spot. Might be full. Who knows.
