For Fairholme Campground - Olympic National Park: Believe the site when it says “21’ or less”. Cool place but super tight.

For Fairholme Campground - Olympic National Park: Not my favorite among the campgrounds on the Olympic Peninsula, but serves the purpose of a base from which to explore the northwest corner of the Olympic National Park and surrounding area. The entire campground including roads and improvements all seems worn and somewhat neglected. The sites are just “ok”, nothing special or spectacular as to layout or views. There’s a lot of traffic on the road leading from nearby Hwy 101 to the campground. Some is related to the boat ramp in the campground, but at least as much is connected with the other activities and several busy destinations further away from the highway on the same road. The RV dump station is not particularly well designed for access or for gravity draining RV waste tanks, but is one of the few in the area. As of July 2019 the fee to use the dump station is $10, even for campground users. An alternative to this campground for those wishing to explore the area to the north, is Salt Creek Campground, which offers a more “improved” or “civilized” experience (more like a Washington State Park than a National Park or National Forest campground). However, that campground is on the state route along the south shore of the Straight of Juan de Fuca. Most people consider Salt Creek Campground and that area a (usually surprisingly) long drive from anywhere in the Olympic National Park, or from Hwy 101 in general.
