For Battle Ground Lake State Park: Open all year. We were here Nov 2020 and many sites were available. Many are short and not level, but leveling blocks are enough. Some sites feel less private than others but this time of year, people spread out and you may not have close neighbors, especially in the non-electric sites. Staffed year round. Nice campground hosts and rangers. The entire park is clean and well kept. No sketchy people, mostly families. A few hardy tent campers. Lots of people stroll around the loop and it feels very safe. We experienced only quiet, respectful, friendly campers and leashed dogs. Walk-ins can only reserve one night at a time but in person you don't pay the $8 online reservation fee plus $5 if you're out of state. You do pay an extra $10 for a second vehicle. Weekends it was difficult to get a site with electric without a reservation. The entire campground is heavily shaded which is tough if you rely on solar. This time of year is mostly rain and daytime temps in the 40s, so it can be a bit muddy, wet and dark even on clear days. Clean toilets, great showers and no tokens needed in winter (not sure of the dates). Also, in winter, basic and popular non electric sites are the same price, $20. The 6 electric sites are $30. There are also several cabins. Some of the spigots are off for winter but there's water, trash and a dump station near the entrance. Lots of trash receptacles throughout the grounds. Some recycling near the info board. Nice lake and playground, busy with day use visitors. Others have already commented on accessibility for larger rigs. Rigs under 25 ft can fit anywhere.

For Battle Ground Lake State Park: The campsite i was in was next to the bathrooms and just a short walk to the lake. Some of the campsites are uneven but if you have blocks it’s easy to level the trailer. The quality of people staying in the tent spots seem to be low. We had neighbors that threaten our group and the Rangers did not do much about it. The campsite personnel are very nice and helpful. This is a great place to fish and Kayak but not camp.

For Battle Ground Lake State Park: This is a pretty rustic site from a rv site perspective. Lake was great for swimming and looking for fishing gear. Most of the sites are dry with water nearby. This was a surprise to me, but then, that was my fault for not looking closer at the booking. It is a little away from the town, but it's camping, right. If you want urban camping, book a hotel. I would return again.

For Battle Ground Lake State Park: this place was awful the sites are small and cost to high for it. to have a fire go to town and buy or do without it. I would not recommend this place for anyone to visit.

For Battle Ground Lake State Park: Lots of fir trees and activities for the family. There is a playground, swimming and fishing areas, sports fields, and some hiking trails. Some of the sites are kind of tight. It's not the cleanest park, but there is a lot to do.
