For Lake Wissota State Park: Stayed Thursday night Sep 8, 2022 without reservations. Quiet, clean and nice trails.

For Lake Wissota State Park: Stayed here in site 10 from Sunday through Thursday in mid-July. I will give the campsites 5 stars as they are heavily wooded, spread out and private. Just as I like them. The restrooms I will give 3 stars for age and needing a redo or replacement. Showers are free but I found the water way too hot and badly needing an adjustment. Lots of hiking trails but we didn’t stray too far because of the high temperatures that week. All the shade was appreciated! We found mosquitoes not to be an issue as we sat out after dark without applying bug spray. I give the state park a solid 4 stars. If you have time be sure to take the one hour Leinenkugel Brewery tour in close by Chippewa Falls. Well worth it!

For Lake Wissota State Park: Not great in July hot humid bugs and green water that you have to walk a half a mile to get to all for $43 and then $11 at the gate to get in. I would give it a pass.

For Lake Wissota State Park: Nice state park. Many campsites have fire pit areas that are COMPLETELY private from the road once the leaves fill in on bushes and trees. Most parking pads are nice and level. Many sites have electric (50, 30, 15 amp). You have to bring water to sites tho. (Dump area also has potable water). For recreation there are hiking and biking trails, beach area for lake access with playground for the kiddies (there is another playground area in-between the 2 major loops of campground areas, baseball/softball diamond area. Hot showers available (bring quarters!). It's very beautiful, especially during Fall season.
