For Ho-Chunk RV Resort Campground: Well, this was our first trip here for almost 20 years. Back in the day, the campground was known as Crockett's. However, it has now been taken over by the Ho Chunk. Let me start off with the positive.

Positives: Clean. Nice entryway into campground. Beautiful lodge. Pool is in great shape. Clean bathrooms. Great playground equipment.

Negatives: During the first night, I noticed I was getting a shock on the frame of my camper. It turned out to be a faulty 30 amp outlet on the campground's power stand on our campsite. Next day... Beautiful weekend, yet the power went out on our entire row of campsites. I inquired with a worker and was told that the buried lines were so old they just don't work sometimes. I was told I could move campsites. We had already been there a day and had our camp pretty well established. We have a pop-up camper and I was not going to move for one night. The workers brought out some extension cords so that we could use an outlet across the road. This required three extension cords for them and two from me in order to just make it. For some reason, the road to exit had a chain across it all weekend, so we had to go back around the campground's lake in order to leave the campground.

Both nights we were there were very loud. This is a party place. Teenagers in golf carts screaming, trucks doing burnouts, and loud music from campsites. The 11pm "quiet hours" is too late if you have young children with you (which we did).

So - if you don't mind having power outages and a party atmosphere, this is your place. If you're looking for something more family friendly, you will want to try elsewhere. We won't be returning. Also - $95 for two nights for a half hook-up and sketchy power was ludicrous.
