For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: This is a small very convenient park. Extremely well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of trails. Get a map at check in. Small number of sites are full service. Verizon is one bar. Store os very nice. Would stop again. Probably a 4.5 star.

For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: About 4 miles off highway Clean , pretty park , but kinda expensive - over 50$ for partial hookup They have pull through sites, but #11 was a backin close to boathouse Bath house very clean and heated. Nice walking trail close to the campground that leads to a fall. site was level and asphalt. Free Wi-Fi but my T-Mobile only have 1 to 2 bars.

For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: We were looking for a full service CG in the general area to freshen up after a week of primitive camping in New River Gorge National Park. We're self-contained in our 25 foot motorhome and don't use the facilities other than an occasional shower. We stayed on a Thursday night in mid-October. We made reservations a day in advance when there were 4 open sites. All sites were reserved when we arrived. There are 4 CG's in the park. Mash Fork is the one suitable for RVs. This is a very pretty CG on a flat valley floor with ridges surrounding it. There are 16 sites some with electric only, some with electric, water and septic. We were in site #2 with electric only. The sites are arrayed in 2 circles. Those between the bath house and office were more open with a few trees while those beyond the bathouse had more shading from trees. The sites are mostly flat with a paved parking space and are generously sized. The bathouse was clean. The shower had ample hot water and pressure and rates one of the top 3 best showers of any CG we've visited. The CG has wifi which worked well at times. There was small yet usable ATT and Verizon cell coverage. There are many hiking trails in the State Park, including a few that start from in or near the CG. We did not have time to explore them. The CG is convenient to the southern sections of New River Gorge NP and an hour from the main Canyon Rim Visitor Center.

For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: Stayed Mon 8/3 - Fri 8/7 Site 24, W/S/50amp, W/E mid-site, S located at back, needed >30' hose to connect. Paved site, level, no levelers needed to level side to side. These sites are spaced apart, plenty of room. Our site had a little bit of hard packed mud because we had to back in close enough to hook up 30' sewer hose. We used rug to cover 15'x15' area, could use about 1/2 ton stone to make this site perfect. Wifi was average, no internet service and cell service was minimal. Perfect "get-away" location! Plenty of hiking trails rated easy to hard, two waterfalls that you could walk to on gravel roads. One about 1/2 mile and the other about 2 miles, both located within park. Pools of water about 2' deep that you could play in at both. Large playground with 5 slides, small baseball field, basketball court, and other fields to play in. Store had minimal items, firewood $6 for about 15 - 20 pieces. We would return to this location. Perfect location for one night stay, within 3+/- miles of I-77.

For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: What a pleasant surprise! We were on the last night of a cross country trip. We normally stay in our favorite campground to “decompress” before heading home, but didn’t want to drive the extra day to get there. Based on reviews, we took the chance on Mash Fork and were more than pleased with this well-tended campground. The showers were hot with soothing shower heads. And they stayed on rather than cycling for 30 seconds. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The site was level and shaded which is important when traveling with 2 dogs and a cat. The other guests were quiet and friendly. Ditto the statement that is is a hidden gem! We will be back.

For Mash Fork - Camp Creek State Park: Awesome little campground. Shaded, level paved sites. Mix of electric only, water and electric and just a handful full hookup sites. Very quiet with and beautiful stream running behind half the sites. Definitely a hidden gem.
