For Tygart Lake State Park: I have been camping at tygert lake my whole life. The staff are very friendly and sometimes offer activities that they do with the kids. The playground is updated and very nice. Shower area/ bathrooms are neat and tidy. If your looking for some peace and quiet this is definitely the place to go. You can hear larger boats on the water but I find that relaxing and it's not all the time. They have a beach area, updated marina, boat rentals, nature center, hiking, and a beautiful lake so dont forget your canoe or kayak!!!

NonieMcD

For Tygart Lake State Park: This is a very small campground. We came and were the only campers here. Within a few hours a couple more thing. The bathrooms are clean. The ranger station was closed so we use the self pay envelopes. When we came back from hiking/Geocaching the Ranger was here and we got snacks from the store. There’s a dump station. This is for small the rigs. They’re doing fall/winter maintenance Because of the storms that have come through. They want to get hanging limbs and dead trees from the campground area. Our campsite was relatively level. We enjoyed the hiking. There seem to be playgrounds and a beach for the kids The marina is huge but they pulled all the docks for the winter. Staff is nice.

Strirl

For Tygart Lake State Park: Small campground, about 12 RV sites with power only and a dump station. Felt very secure, security drives through quite often and there was someone at the little store the majority of the time. Had firewood, $4.00 a bundle and a fire ring at our campsite. A couple of miles in from marina and boat ramps, but can hear bigger boats on the lake as it wraps around by campground. Playground for children and showed a movie on Saturday night.

Lyman

For Tygart Lake State Park: Nice quiet place. Nice campground but not for very big rigs. We found out after arriving and had to leave.
