For KOA Journey Devils Tower: The pool is gorgeous but no water in it. KOA app advertises a pool. I never imagined I needed to ask if it has water in it. Another thing they offer is a Sip and Paint night. I was really looking forward to this. Its before Labor Day weekend and they no longer offer the a activity because “the season is over”!!! Its not even Labor Day weekend yet!!! The site is level with a small amount of elbow room. A beautiful view of Devils tower from the front side window of our RV. Unfortunately, my dirty picnic table is hidden behind my RV so I cant sit outside at my site and enjoy the view of the tower. The gift shop is great with lots if local artists selling some beautiful items at a very fair price. The cafe isn't anymore than what you would expect from a campground menu, but the service is really friendly and the food is good, although pricey for what you get. But the proximity to Devils Tower is great and cant be beat. 2 stars for falsely advertising a pool and activities. Also because its not even Labor Day yet and activities have all been cancelled. Well, except for the hayride that they charge $8 for. Im really disappointed as this was going to be one of the highlights of our trip. We left a day early and they had no problem issuing a refund without question. I would give this campground another try in the future but will make certain that all that is advertised is actually available. As I said before, the proximity is ideal for Devils Tower viewing and exploring.

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: We arrived 45 minutes before checkin in a downpour & was told we would be charged an extra $10 plus tax, if we chose to come in. When we did come in the Parker seemed upset that he had to park us. Our site is not level & has grass past our ankles. The roads are in poor repair with potholes everywhere. For the high price, this park was a huge disappointment.

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: We are at site 60 facing Devils Tower, best scenic yard ever. Good Verizon, no tv reception but that’s okay . Great park

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: We were in site 25. Our backend, our door and dining area faced a construction area. They are digging a new pool, backhoe and dump truck 4 feet from our door. They made the most dust I’ve ever encountered. I asked to move, manager said they were no sites available, I saw plenty open sites while we were there.

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: Location is the key. Good park, filled early. we paid for premium view site. My wife love it. I was not feeling well after the long drive and the staff were super nice to me and wife. Although this park is close to Devils tower with great views there is a NPS just down the road that takes walk in only. This park fills early and has all the amenities, while the NPS does not. Even though this park was full and I seen people being turned away at the counter the NPS down the road was not filled that night

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: Other reviews are correct about not arriving to early, unless you want to pay a little more, and the campground is expensive but you are paying for location. This was a great RV park for us being so close because I am an early riser. Devils Tower is open 24/7 so we got to the park at 7:30 am before the BIG crowd of cars lined up to get in around 9:30-10:00 am. Since we got there so early there very few people on the walking trail that goes all the way around the tower. We saw deer, listen to the gentle wind in the trees, birds chirping—it was amazing and exactly what we were looking to do. The park has a variety of accomidations—RV sites, cabins, tent spaces, even teepees. There is a large open picnic area which was great to take walk our dogs around. There is a cafe and souvenier shops, but I suggest stocking up on alcohol before staying—Prices are high since there isnt a close alternative. ;) We liked the park & would recommend it for a few days.

Carl

For KOA Journey Devils Tower: My area was a field of weeds with hook ups. Amazingly it was level. Got there early park was 90 % empty but told I had to wait 1 hour to check in. Why? Then I was told there is a 6 o clock hay ride to see local wildlife. Ok show up no one had to tell office. Then I find out they want $6 when guy shows up 15 min late. Really? It is close to park and tower is a beautiful. Also show Close Encounters I assume they charge for it. Surprised they don’t charge for pets like many KOA’s. Think I am done with them.
