For River Side Park: A quaint park located in town along the bank of a river. Free with various services in town. Only challenge was that a great deal of the park was taken up by cars parked by locals living nearby. Made access along the street extremely difficult and used up much of the space for camping.

For River Side Park: Awesome city park lots of parking and plenty of grassy areas. The water is good and the shower / bathrooms were awesome considering they are free! The whole park is a blessing to travelers like us and we were very grateful. Will definitely be coming here again on our way through!

For River Side Park: Marvellous city park on the North Platte River. It is shaded, clean and beautifully maintained. The officials are friendly. Water, dump, bathrooms with showers are available.

For River Side Park: Nice little municipal park in central Douglas, Wyoming, where one can camp for free!
Grassy areas with picnic tables, shower house is old but clean.
Situated along a river and one of the main drags in town, but traffic dies down at night.
Would stay here again!

Debbi

For River Side Park: Very nice quiet park. Ample room for a big rig once in the park. However two warnings for big rig drivers:
First - take the first entry not the second. Lots of cars parked at second entrance severely narrowing entry and it is a steeper dip there.
Second: if coming from the north do not follow google map direction without confirming route thru town. We were directed to a 11ft clearance underpass. Had to drop tow and back out.
Otherwise lovely stay.!!

For River Side Park: Stopped here for lunch. Great shade, peaceful. Just left Railroad Interpretive Center short distance toward old town Douglas. Toured dining car(expected to see Cary Grant at table), old sleeping car and 1884 passenger car. Worth visiting. Free. It s also great info center.
Sit in shade at sunset near on river with
nice glass of vino! Oh yea!
Hi Adam, Heading for Wasington coast this time. I ll look out for good spots. Have a good one. Pat

Melody

For River Side Park: A delightful little gem that beats an overnight stay in a Walmart parking lot. They have hot showers, water available to fill your fresh water tank, and barbecues with picnic tables. There is a maximum 2 night stay and it's free! It is close to town so restaurants and other items are easily accessible. There's even a river to walk along. If you need to stop over on a trip somewhere, this is well worth the stop.
