For Sandy Beach - Guernsey State Park: Stayed at Sandy Beach in site 2 next to the camp host, Roger and Lyn. They are the most hospitable, friendly, and gracious camp host we have ever met. They went out of their way on their day off to drive us around in their personal truck to give us a tour of the area. The campground is quite nice with a view of the reservoir and had level sites. Very few
people were in the campground when we stayed 2
nights. We had water and electricity. The
bathroom is a vault type but kept clean. We would definitely stay here again.

For Sandy Beach - Guernsey State Park: We almost didn’t come bc of the other reviews, and what a loss that would’ve been. Soft sand, shallow water (kids absolutely loved it), zero bugs on the sand/water, our rig was about 50 feet from the sand and there were moths but no mosquitos (I’ll take it! Lol) It felt like our private beach. I stayed in different spots (spot 4, 30, 39) and had decent wifi in 4, and 30, 39 got spotty. I could not hear the train, I’m in a class A, but even when outside our rig, I could barely hear the train. We visited in mid June. I hear the water will drain in late July. Cheers!

For Sandy Beach - Guernsey State Park: Off season out of state electric water for $27. Reservoir is nearly empty and campground is empty.
Same comments on train noise.
We toured the ruts and the register
Watch out for burrs.

For Sandy Beach - Guernsey State Park: Actually, this is a beautiful area with nice clean campsites. However. Sandy Beach campground is next to very busy railway tracks, with coal trains rumbling by all night. (They are so close that the train headlight came into my camper. Almost funny, it was so bad!)
I’ll be moving up to the north part of the park; no hookups, but I’ll get some sleep.
