Kae

For Powder River Campground: Nice small campground right off I-25 with 50 amp and full hookups. Friendly and helpful owners. The office is also an embroidery and quilting shop. Would stay again. Make sure you stony the Chris Ledoux Park.

Laura

For Powder River Campground: This gets four stars due to price of $20 a night with Passport America. Host is a friendly lady who is happy to take a reservation over the phone and makes checking in easy. Cash or checks only! This is a very, very basic park. The cell signal is good (Verizon) and the free wifi is great, best ever due to the small size of the park. There are about 5-6 pull through spots in the middle of the park perfect for travelers. The park is right on the river but it is not very scenic. There is a grocery/hardware store in town for necessities, bar, and gas station. A museum is also there as well. Given it was COVID 19 era there was not much to do here. And, the park is not a place that I would choose to “hang out” but if you have work to do it is a good spot. Right off I-25 it is easy to get to in any size rig. I would not go out of my way to come here again, but if passing through a one nighter for $20 for full hookups in an easy spot is worth it. Hwy noise was not bad, did not hear loud RR’s which was nice.

For Powder River Campground: This park is easy off and on interstate 25. Kaycee has a population of 263, and a great spot of history. We visited the Hoofprints Musuem of the Past. We learn about the Johnson cattle wars of area, and of the Hole in the Wall Hideouts. We stayed 2 nights at the passport America price of $20. Sites are level and has mature trees, next to a river, quiet and the town is charming. The owner was very accommodating giving us specific directions to the sites of hideouts and the Red Wall. beautiful country.

PSnav

For Powder River Campground: This is a Passport campground and one of the best I've used. It is basic, but everything works and works well. The showers are good, wifi better than average, AT&T has 3 bars and the host is friendly and professional. This campground works well for the traveler but we stayed an extra day to see the free museum uptown! Cost for Passport was $20.
