For Sheffield Campground: There are 10 sites now and an overflow area. We paid $10 for the overflow area. By bedtime 8 other vehicles had joined us. The stream was easily crossed in our class c in early July. Host was super nice and helpful. No amenities.

For Sheffield Campground: Ended up here when Grassy Lake Road was closed in mid-May. This site had a sign up front saying "4x4 recommended" but tried it anyway with my van sized RV. The road was washed out with a creek going through so I couldn't pass it. Ended up crashing overnight in one of the 3 spots up front. Ranger drove past and didn't seem to care that all the spots had overnight guests. I wouldn't try it for more than an overnight place to sleep though. You can find a video about my stay there by searching YouTube for "hobotech yellowstone".

For Sheffield Campground: Tried to stay here also but the little river that was going across the road was too much for my Class C. We scouted it out first with off road motor cycles and we did not attempt to cross it either. Very dangerous if you do not have a high clearance truck or something. It might change later in the season but not so safe right now to get to. Nice camping area though if you can.

For Sheffield Campground: 5/21/15 you need to cross a creek to get to the camp sites. The water was about 16 inches deep and moving fast so we were unable to reach the camp in our CR-V. The truck that entered before us was able to get there. This may be a early season issue only. Have an alternate in mind if the water is high. Easy to find and great place to stay. Bear food storage required.

For Sheffield Campground: Wow. This is a little gem of a campground which I found again this morning for friends traveling through the Park. Camped there in the 2005/2010. Found it while exploring minor access trails. Sweet. I hidden treasure in a bigger treasure chest.
