Messness

For Bow River Campground: It is about a 15 mile drive from the freeway, and about 13 miles of that is maintained dirt road, some washboards. But not to bad, just took us longer to get there than we planned. The campsite was pretty, nice trees and it is right by the Bow River. All the sites had picnic tables and fire rings. There were two pit toilets and even a blue hand water pump. Would be a good idea to bring some hand sanitizer, but the restrooms weren't bad. You do need to take all your own trash out, no trash cans there. Sadly, in one of the camp sites there were several places people had gone to the bathroom outside and left their toilet paper all over the ground! But other than that the campground was really nice, there were several spaces to park a small trailer. Lots of trees and the sound of the river was just wonderful! We just car camped and it was perfect! We had a few wildlife encounters, saw some deer, lots of birds and squirrels, and something was trying to get into our vehicle but was easily scared away. Overall I think this was a wonderful campsite! It was a nice break from the freeway ?
