For Connor Battlefield and Campground: Great little spot! A couple pull throughs, which will accommodate large vehicles with large trees and lots of nice green grass. Very clean, but no water, faucets or hook ups of any sort. There are trash cans and pit toilets and that’s about it. not well marked but Google maps did a good job getting us there. We paid $20 for one night for non-resident camping.

Notable Exceptions

For Connor Battlefield and Campground: $10 for WY residents; $18 for non-residents. We stopped after a long day on the highway, and it was very quiet. I love the sound of the water. Fishermen during the day, crickets at night. Of course, there is a train... how many RV spots DON’T have a train that you can hear? I love it.

For Connor Battlefield and Campground: This is a delightful little campground. We camped here on a Thursday mid September 2020, and found plenty of open spots. Sites are level; park is well-maintained and grassy. It is a state park, which factors into an entry fee difference for residents and nonresidents. The fee was $16 for us. That fee stands from May 1 through September 30. Looks like the campground is open all year with lowered rates late fall and winter. The park also features a history of a battle here. The campground is on a loop in the river which was the location for an Apache Indian camp.

Honeymooners

For Connor Battlefield and Campground: Small, well maintained campground, park and playground. No hookups but water is available and there are two sets of bathrooms. Dog waste bags are available and lots of garbage bins are throughout the park. Not many campers here, a fair number of fishermen. Only drawback is the train tracks are close and loud. Otherwise, not a bad stay for a $11 winter rate.

Chris and Dan

For Connor Battlefield and Campground: Small, inexpensive, well-maintained primitive/dry camping area with level gravel pads, grassy fields, and sites right next to the river.
