For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: Convenient to Jackson Hole ski resort (10min) and town of Jackson for provisions. We stayed 5 nights in early March in a Sprinter Van. Pluses: clean bathroom/shower facilities, laundry, fresh water to refill tank, pleasant office staff. Price $59/nt plus tax. Minuses: The access roads in and out of the campground were poorly maintained in the winter. A small front end loader scraped the slushy roads in the morning only. The temps were unusually warm during our stay and the roads were nearly impassable by afternoon with large potholes filled with water and deep slushy grooves. Our vehicle was rear wheel drive but with Blissak tires that had no problem at the mountain. Afternoon plowing of the road would have been a big improvement. Roofs were leaking inside the laundry room and outside in several places along walkways to/from office, showers, laundry. Deferred maintenance desperately needed there. No disposal/dump on site, must go to Shell station in Jackson and pay an additional $10.

Granger Benson

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: Perhaps the location near Grand Teton gives them license to demand exorbitant camping fees, but the campground is below average in all usual respects, and the rules reflect a disdain for their customers. They prohibit outside mats, to protect the “grass”, by which they appear to mean bare dirt with scattered weeds. No grills on picnic tables, even though our table was rustic wood and commonly used Weber table-top grills are harmless; we have used ours many times at decent campgrounds without incident. No pets allowed unattended in RV’s, another ridiculous rule since RV’ers often bring along their pets and can leave them safely in air-conditioned interiors while exploring the area in a tow vehicle. Adhering to this rule would effectively bar RV campers from leaving their campsite without taking pets along in a car, a much less safe alternative, given the frequency of sightseeing stops and lunch breaks. Closely-spaced gravel sites, nothing special. As an added insult, they prohibited arrivals this week from entering and checking in between 5 and 10 pm due to some special event blocking the entry road. If visiting the Teton area, try hard to find an alternative to this place.

SoCal Traveler

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: We stayed here for four nights and the biggest issue was price. The campground was nothing special for the cost. We were close to the other campers but fortunately for us, one site was open after our first night. The upside was the central location to Jackson and the back entrance off Moose Wilson Road to the Grand Tetons (though note this road is narrow and can be very tough in places).

B Holmes

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: Over priced, sites on top of each other, sewer line from neighbor is right at your door or under your outside table, no room for awning. Staff not willing to work with you. Better sites were use for extra parking at no cost. $125 per night foe nothing but sewer smells.

Erica

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: Stayed here for 3 nights. Smaller RV Park with cute cabins at the entrance.Very convenient location to Teton village.(JH Tram 5 miles down the road) Bike path is across the street, and you can bike all around Jackson Hole. Bathrooms and laundry very clean and site was perfect for us! Priced a little high- especially since we did not spend much time at the park. So much to do in the surrounding area! We would stay here again!

CB

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: When calling to make a reservation, the attitude of the woman taking the call was shocking. She was very demeaning and didn't want to answer two questions about the RV site. After that, we didn't even want to stay there.. besides the fact one night would cost $110 (incl. taxes) for the most basic RV site.

NCrambler

For Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole: Convenient campground to Jackson Hole and southern Grand Teton. Arrived without reservations in late September. Site is located behind Jackson Hole Resort cabins and is not easily seen from the road. Cost is rather high at $75 per night but attribute this to location and proximity to Grand Teton/Jackson Hole. Campground is very well maintained with clean restrooms, showers, and laundry facility. Several individuals who have stayed at this campground on prior occasion spoke very highly of management and the services that they provided. Would stay there again if visiting Jackson in the future. Wonderful time observing a herd of elk on backside of campground one evening.
