For Aviation Arbor RV Park: Completely new in 2022 following major hurricane damage. Sites are level and well spaced. We spent Three nights so we could visit locations in New Orleans and it worked very well. No amenities I could see for families but the park had all we needed and no alligators in the canals. There were difficulties making a reservation by email or phone but we finally tracked down a petty officer on duty and he helped us find a person to talk to. Office is closed on Sat and Sun but you can direct inquiries to the camp host. We had a great time in the Big Easy!

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: We spent 9 nights in a Motorhome with W/S/E-50 Amp. Driving south to the installation was relatively easy along SR 23 but know the height of your rig because the 13’7” Belle Chasse Tunnel is on this route. Once on base, access to the RV Park was convenient. The campground road is dirt/gravel and littered with potholes making it a very bumpy ride. We arrived a day ahead of our scheduled reservation and although our visit occurred during Carnival season the staff was very accommodating, friendly and courteous. We were provided a very good information package regarding the campground, installation, local restaurants, and New Orleans attractions. Our site was a back-in with a concrete pad and fixed picnic table. The connections were conveniently located enabling easy hook-up. We were able to use our DISH Tailgater and also received numerous TV channels via antenna. The free Wi-Fi was good and we had no problem getting our AT&T phone signal. The laundry facilities are clean with three washers at $1.00/load and six dryers at $.75/load. Also, there is a ditch in the campground where juvenile alligators may be visible on a warm day. When touring New Orleans from here, we would recommend driving 30 minutes to Old Algiers to catch a ferry ($2.00/person each way) across the Mississippi River. Once docked near the Harrah’s Casino, you can catch the Hop On Hop Off Bus at Stop 7 or you can just walk along the river towards Jackson Square. Overall, we would give this campground a “Good” rating and would definitely stay here again.

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: Stayed at JRB New Orleans for 5 nights in March during spring break. Nice, level sites in a corner location of the base with full hookups. Base itself is not too big, flightline is a little close but not a big deal for us. Noise issues were fellow campers (1 late night and others being loud early prior to departing). Wifi antenna was only a couple sites down but signal was terrible and pretty much useless during the stay. Nice bath and laundry facilities. Staff was pleasant and had no issues. Couple blocks to NEX, commissary and Subway. Nice little base and 20 mins to downtown. Would stay again if in the area. We stayed in a TT.

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: We were the first RV to stay in this park in December, 2011 (in our Jayco class C). We returned in October, 2016 and again for Mardi Gras 2017. Great RV park, helpful staff, reasonably priced. The staff provides a welcome folder with maps, etc when you check-in. Wifi is a little spotty but we have an unlimited data plan and Dish satelite TV so we're good. NEX and commisary are around the corner. The park is located close to the runways, the USCG Air Station is also co-located at NAS/JRB so air-ops are regular. I view the aircraft noise simply as the sound of freedom. Having been stationed at air stations throughout my career, I find it comforting. The bugle calls a previous writer complained of are morning and evening colors. I had the honor of pulling colors on bases and ships CONUS and OCONUS during my 30+ year career and frankly, I find the sounds of colors a daily reminder of purpose. No noise complaints here.

Visitors should take Gen. Degaulle Drive and the bridge over the ICW and avoid the tunnel on the Belle Chasse Hwy.

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: This is an excellent RV park unless you're a night person who likes to sleep in mornings. Pile driving starts (off base but close) at 0600, the bugle and brass band coming from the speaker 100 yards away sounds like they're in the kitchen at 0800, and the jets start taking off a block away at 0900.

The facilities and staff are excellent. The ferry into the city is convenient.

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: This camp has it all: full hook ups and Internet that actually works. The Commissary and Exchange is right down the road...walking distance if you like. Friendly staff makes the experience a dream. The only problem, if you could cal,it that, is an entangled post office mess. They don't deliver to the FAMCAMP, but UPS & FEDEX do! The postal staff was numerous and helpful! I'll come back to NAS JRB NOLA.

TKI Ranch

For Aviation Arbor RV Park: This is the first military Famcamp that we have stayed at, We only hope that the rest are as nice. The staff was very helpful. The pads are wide and level, there is a lot of room to put your camper and still have concrete pad To use for sitting out. We highly recommend this campsite.
