For Texas Star RV Park: Called on our way there to book. Informed CC machine was down. Cash only. Ok. We pulled in and I was like What. 4 star? How? Who? No way. It was a mix of seasonal and permanent rvs. Some were so run down 1 was full of trash. A girl stopped us and said take any empty spot. So after a 450 mile day of driving in the rain I was willing to deal with it. Pulled up to site #2 unhooked my toad and went over to rinse my hands off at the water and no knob to turn the water on. No way. Got back on the app and looked for another spot. This place is a 2 star at best on a good day. To many other places around that are much better.

For Texas Star RV Park: This park is a convenient stop off of I10. It sits in a low lying area and recently had major flooding from Hurricane Olga but us recovering nicely. Parking is a large cement pad in what looks like a newer section of the park. Water and electric were both easy but the sewer was at the very back of the site. Not a real problem if you have about 20 feet of hose. Cable is available with the park’s box and the cable ran through a window. We used OTA TV and got a few channels. Park wifi is good and then its not but overall, it was usable. Verizon is 2-3 bars. We would stay again if in the area.

For Texas Star RV Park: We had both our 5th Wheel (50 amp) and our Travel Trailer (30 amp) at this park for 11 months as my husband provided emergency housing for the Hurricane Harvey victims from north Houston down to Corpus Christie area. The park was a wonderful place to bring our adult children and our grandkids! They loved fishing in the 2 catch and release ponds. We were impressed that the owner was continually making improvements in the park and was always very quick to respond to any needs when we needed to report anything. We used the laundry room often and it was SO much better than taking it to a public laundromat in town! The location is convenient to the interstate, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and churches. My greatest compliment would have to go to the park manager, Tanya. She went so far above and beyond to take care of not only our family’s needs, but I saw her repeatedly do the same over and over for many of the residents. She is very firm with enforcing the rules of the park, yet she is also very compassionate with people. By the time we headed back to our home in Nashville when our mission in Texas ended, I can honestly say that the park manager and her family had truly become like family to us. She is as genuine as can be, because I saw her do the same for so many others, as well. Without a doubt, if we needed to return to Texas, this is exactly where we would choose to stay! Great place to stay!

For Texas Star RV Park: Avoid this park. It is advertised as free wifi and over 100 tv channels. The wifi is horrible you will not be able to get a web page to load. The tv channels are satellite and we were told that there were no boxes for the satellite available they had been given out already. Over run by cats there were 8 that laid under the rv in front of ours. Rv behind us had a large dog that they did not pick up after and I stepped in the dreaded poo the first time I stepped out of the truck. I was not able to run 2 ac, along with my tv and micro it would pop 50 amp breaker. I was told that I had a problem in my rv it wasn't their problem. When I tried to explain I had just came from a park where I ran 2 ac, washer, dryer, tv & micro and never had a problem again I was told the problem was with my rv. STAY AWAY
