For Trail Lakes Campground: Rustic might be the right word, but maybe that fits for the location. Disappointed that we booked a full hookup site but got a water and electric site. Our site was kind of muddy but many others were dry. Sites are grass/ dirt and interior roads are mostly dirt. Bathrooms were very old. Gated entry , several ponds .

For Trail Lakes Campground: This is by no means a luxury resort, but it’s a very nice campsite convenient for an overnight stay. We stopped in February on the way to the keys, and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Very nice people, level site, although it could use some grave.. We’d stay again. Motorhome.

For Trail Lakes Campground: A great and entertaining campground, with lots of exciting exhibits of animals, creatures, and folk lore. The owners are a pair of brothers who undeniably can tell stories of the area that will keep you wondering. The facilities are accommodating, and a very peaceful setting, close to Everglades City, airboat rides, canoe launches and back country guides. Fun for all ages.
