For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Awesome experience! Stayed a few nights early sept. Loop E, site 1. Nice level shade spot. GORGEOUS beach is right across the street. I have 5 and 6 year old kids. We walked or biked to the beach. Good snorkeling. Saw Dolphins, sting ray, sea slugs, sand dollars, jelly fish, puffer fish, crabs. Be sure to snorkel on the bay side. There are tons of hermit crabs there! Kids fav thing was ghost crabbing after dark. Take a net and headlamp! Also enjoyed touring Fort Pickens. Kids did the booklet and earned their junior ranger badges. This is a pristine, low trafficked beach.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Nice large campsites and good facilities, awesome white sandy beaches right at the campgrounds and a historic fort to explore.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Loved this camp ground! The staff and hosts were all friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. Didnt do laundry but the facilitys are nice. I loved loop C and loop A. Electric and water hook ups were good. Price was fantastic. The beaches were beautiful! I will be visiting this campground as much as I can next summer.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: wonderful location. White sand beaches and stunning sunsets. I chose loop D for seemingly more privacy than the others. Cleanest bathrooms and showers of any campground in my three months of camping.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Loop A is in a separate section and deservedly the most popular as the sites are larger, in better shape and there is vegetation between sites. The other loops have short back in sites with few trees or shrubs. The National Seashore itself is beautiful and the Fort is an interesting place to visit. Loop A gets 4 stars. The rest of the campground 3.
