For Marys Place: This is by far the best choice of campgrounds in Lava Springs. Lots of big trees for shade and all green grass. The green grass was a little bit hard to level on so we had to sleep on a slant. There is a bridge from the campground to the main street so it’s a four minute walk to the Hot Springs. There’s a very nice tent area right on the river. The RV sites that look like they’re on the river up the hill and there’s a chain-link fence between the RVs and the river. The spaces are tight so on summer weekends The cars, campers, trucks and people are jammed in like sardines. Between this campground and the highway and railroad tracks is the KOA.

For Marys Place: Nice clean shady park with RV parking on grass.
Overpriced at $45, though. KOA prices without KOA facilities. $30 would be reasonable. KOA is on opposite side of river.
Beside river, but no access. Long walk along highway to hot springs.
Highway noise, frequent trains.
