For Matanzas State Forest - Cedar Creek: I recently stayed here with my boyfriend. Yes it is primitive and the second night we were there alone. My problem with the campground was that it was dirty. Trash everywhere. We picked up quite a bit at our site. The port-o-potty had no lock on the door so that if you didn't have someone guarding the door any other camper could walk right in. I know it's the forest but when you have palmetto bugs coming out of the toilet.... That's where I draw the line. I dug a hole and went back packer style. I don't plan on ever coming here again.
