For Lodge 216: Positive:Alan, the camp host, was very helpful & answered/returned our calls prior to our arrival Negative:the RV parking is oddly laid out, electrical hookups are sketchy, water hookups the same. It is a predominantly dirt/grass area that when it rains is a mud hole. Lodge has very limited hours We fill-timed for 15 years and are now part-timing and this was our least favorite Elks Lodge ever

For Lodge 216: I called before I went a week earlier . Got a call back in a short period. Alan was very welcoming and said to call him when I will be arriving . I did and he came a greater me and showed me the sites and where everything was . Very relaxing . I pick site 4 with my 36’ and hook up to 50 amps and water . Last day I hooked up to the dump drainage and dump before leaving. Very quite place with 8 sites which 6 are full hook ups . Stays 3 days $25 a night for FHU but us also$10 for primitive site. There is water a dump access for the primitive sites for $10 to fill and:or dump. We visited San Antonio which it was about 18 miles to the Alamo and Riverwalk. They also have a list of places around and things to do in the Area. I don’t understand why the previous reviewer was so hursh. Maybe her communication problem or not knowing . All sites were just standard like everywhere .

For Lodge 216: I stayed 2 nights, the first night I wanted full hook ups and one was available so I drove in. After unhooking I noticed that this one was backwards from all the others but I was tired so I didn’t hook back up. Their paperwork states that if you park in a full hook up site you must pay the $25 fee so I paid it and moved to a dry camping site the following morning. I was told that parking under the trees wasn’t a parking spot, I had to park in the sun.

For Lodge 216: 8 50 amp full hook up sites. Grassy/gravel level sites. Randy, the camp host was extremely helpful. Lodge was very friendly and welcoming. Highway was far enough away that noise didn’t bother us. Quiet area otherwise. $25 a night.

For Lodge 216: Elks Lodge #216 RV Park is small but clean. They have about 8 full hook-up sites and room for several dry campers. They now have a park host living on-site and he is great at helping you pick a site and offering suggestions for things to do in San Antonio. The lodge is only open Wed-Fri but the burgers on Wednesday are great and all the members make you feel right at home. Great place to stay while on the road.

For Lodge 216: Call ahead and coordinate with Alan, the friendly & knowledgeable host. There are 8 FHU sites, but some are tricky to park which is where the host shines. FHU $25,drycamp $10 and decent wifi. Lodge open Wed, Thur & Fri and special occasions. Not a big lodge, but a friendly lodge. Very convenient off 1604. Worked very well for our needs.

For Lodge 216: A little cramped and we had some power issues, but the lodge members were very friendly and helpful. They are in the process igig upgrading their power systems and we got everything squared away for our stay. It easy easy to find but can get rough to get parked. The RVillage host was helpful in getting us into a site. I would arrive before dark so you can see the obstacles.
