For Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum Campground: It’s a good location to check out the town. We spent 3 nights and it was quiet. I guess it’s the slow season so we were the only one there. The daily rate is $15 with 30amp electric, but no water hookups nor dump stations. There is a pit-toilet. My husband checked out it and told me to use our own. You can get water from the spigot near the museum, and it is only a few minutes walk.

For Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum Campground: Quite park but wouldn’t recommend using the pit toilets, from the outside I didn’t even go inside because the area really needs upgrades. No pads or any idea where to park besides the electric poles and none are very level next to the poles. They are now charging $10 a night with electricity.

For Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum Campground: The park is not at 120 Mill Street. It is nearby. From south or north I-35: Take exit 72 (no access via exit 78). Go West on Smoky Valley Rd/Hwy 81 for approximately 2.5 miles. At the stop sign, turn North on 14th Ave and go approximately 1 mile. Turn West onto 1st Street/Old Mill Rd. This is a narrow asphalt county road with a No Outlet sign and a Bridge Closed sign. Proceed anyway. The road curves to the right in approximately 1/4 of a mile. The Campground is just after the curve, on the right (before the bridge). In the Campground, there is a large open grass area with a gravel road looping around it. Scattered around the area are large electric poles with numbered electrical hookup boxes about 6 feet off the ground. Each pole has multiple 30 amp outlets. There are no marked spaces. Park anywhere. There are spots in the trees and spots in the open. The spots are not level and there are some holes hidden in the grass. There is no water hookup in the park. There are bathrooms in the park, but no showers. There is no dump in the park. Verizon and satellite signals are adequate, not great. Walk across the bridge (on 1st Street at the NW corner of the park - closed to vehicles, open to people). Turn left onto Mill street immediately after the bridge. Half a block down the street, there is a swimming pool on the right and the Old Mill Museum grounds on the left. Pay $10 for your RV spot at the museum (open M-F, 9-5). We came in on Sunday, so paid on Monday. The museum is on the south end of the city park. The park has pool, playgrounds, picnic areas, and Heritage Square (open M-F, 9-5). We walked a well-marked urban sidewalk trail that leads north from the park. About 1/2 mile on the trail is the Co-op. Two blocks off the trail (West of the Co-op) is downtown (post-office, library, laundromat, cafes, etc.). About 2 miles on the trail is Bethany College. Nice signs along the way tell the history of the city. The Campground also has access to marked gravel trails (e.g., Meadowlark Trail) that follow the old railway (North and South of the campground). Bicycles, walkers, and runners share the trails. We were there on a lovely fall day and many locals were using the trails. All greeted us in a friendly fashion. The city website has a pdf Visitors’ Guide with an extensive directory of museums, art galleries, public sculpture, restaurants, businesses, festivals, and city history, all within 2 or 3 miles of the park. 5 stars for the city and its trails. 3 stars for the Campground; it has the basics that a city park should have and $10 is reasonable. It could be really improved with some simple signage and marked spaces. Water and dump would make it a 5 star city park.

For Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum Campground: Agree with other reviews. Nice quiet little park in a nice quiet little town. Good for overnight. New rates as of June 1, 2019. $7 for non-electric and $10 for 30 amp. As others have stated, pay the fee at the museum. Pick your campsite and then walk across the bridge (no vehicles allowed) toward the city park take a left at the first Street. Walk down a block or so and you’ll be at the museum.

For Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum Campground: Nice quiet comfortable feeling campground. We were the only campers tonight and while there were a few walkers and bike riders, they all left by dark. No water or dump but at $5.00 (or $7.00 w/ 30amp) it beats the heck out of a Walmart parking lot.

Watch for sign on Rt 4 just before turn to Lindsborg

Price is great $7 night for electric.

Pay in museum office

Been here maybe three times. Always fun town to visit
