DaVida

For Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Only Park: Beautiful park for only self-contained Airstreams on a 2700’ elevation ridge overlooking valleys and farther mountains. Forty-six shareholders maintain the park. The community building contains a laundry, kitchen, sitting room with fireplace, Florida-type room with wrap-around windows, large screened pavilion. Several, well-marked, quite steep trails in these rugged, mostly shaded 75 acres lead to water falls below. Deer forage in the apple orchard. Sunsets beyond fading blue mountains are awesome. Nearby Floyd VA is well worth trips into town for music and markets.

Airstreamer

For Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Only Park: Beautiful well maintained private campground located on top of a ridge in the Blue Ridge Mountains south of Roanoke, Virginia. There are 46 full hookup campsites (water, sewer, 30 amp electric)). No shower facilities but the clubhouse has washers and dryers. Only Airstream brand RV's are allowed. Limit 2 non aggressive pets (dogs or cats). The volunteer hosts are friendly and they include guests in park activities. The long range mountain vistas are stunning from most campsites and the elevation, nearly 3000 feet, is high enough to offer a respite from the summer heat.

There are many recreational, cultural, and sightseeing opportunities in the surrounding area including the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. A favorite activity is watching local bluegrass musicians play on Friday night in the quaint town of Floyd south of the campground. In 2015 the overnight rate was $25 plus tax. Seventh night is free. The park is open May 1 to October 15.
