Nobody Realy

For Agate Acres RV Park: I liked this place at first. It is dirt cheap, and the owners are cheap ass old farts. The woman is so condescending, that it is a wonder she doesn't have scars from being slapped around. She almost always treated me like I was a slug. I went to the office to tell them about a dangerous build up of ice this ramp, which is at least 40 degree angle, going down to where we are supposed to walk our dogs. I slipped and aggravated my arthritic back. I told here about it and all she could say in a real sugary sick voice. "Just go the other way." I was told to take my dog down this ramp before he was off the leash, and the other direction was a lot further from where I preferred to walk, less puncture vine/goats heads. Yes they are abundant, don't go barefoot... This is unacceptable, they had a dangerous situation on hand and they acted like I was an idiot for telling them. I don't recommend this place for long term stay. Right now I can hear kids playing and screaming, and they are in doors. Dogs bark a lot during the day, and there is sometimes dog crap in the park area. Its also rocks and sand. A hell of a lot of rocks. It should be called flat rock or skipping rock park. There are so many flat rocks, perfect for skipping on water, if there were any water close by. The Columbia River is about a mile away. Agates? There are no agates hear, at least not the kind you can get at Agate Beach in Oregon, and probably many other places. They do have a lot of white or yellowish somewhat translucent rocks, but no clear ones. The good thing is you don't have to look for for a rock to throw. The entire site is made from an old glaicial deposit, or so I am told, and is thirty feet high at the back end. The old man moved the rocks here to make this place. What an idiot. Why bring rocks to a place next to a river. I am sure there are plenty there. The rest is sand. Yes sand, and it clings to you shoes and feet, and gets inside and all over the place. If you have a dog, they will bring in sand, and if not careful the puncture vine seeds that hurt much worse then a most things that can get in you shoes or hide in your carpet for later. I have to pick one out of my dogs paw almost every time I take him for a walk. Plus when I say cheap. There is nothing free here. The laundry is fine, but they charge a buck min for a shower. No WiFi, and 4g lte is a dream. At least with ATT. There are trees, but they pruned a lot of branches so unsure how much shade you will get in summer, and it gets hot, hot, hot. And the closest store is an independent store, and has the high prices to show it. There are plenty of beautiful parks in Washington and Oregon, this is not one of them...

For Agate Acres RV Park: We stayed here for one night. The site we were on was level gravel. They had fhu, but we only used the power so we could jabber AC. It was 106. Owners was friendly. Price was right. She showed us to our site. I didn't see a lot of amenities, but for 25 bucks, it was perfect for us. Shade trees were mostly still young. It was quiet. Will stay again. Star system not working on app. 4 stars

Paul M.

For Agate Acres RV Park: Nice place.
Pros: clean, quiet, very friendly, reasonable rates, large shaded pull-thru sites, individual bathroom / showers.
Cons: pay showers, bring your own tp and towels to the bathrooms (not even any paper towels in bathrooms!)
Suggestion for owners: some small picnic tables at some of the sites would be nice.
