For Veterans Memorial Park: We arrived in the afternoon and there was plenty of sites available and there is a payment drop off box. Grass was very high, but we had 50 amp FHU, clear skies for satellite and quiet. Close to everything, but a walk to downtown like the other reviewer would be a few miles, not a short stroll. Area was mowed while we were staying. $35.00 nightly. I can see where it would be wet if it rained, but it was dry for us. Would stay again.

For Veterans Memorial Park: Great place and within walking distance of downtown. VERY WET when it rains so 4 stars. Stayed here 3 days in October 2020 and very nice and quiet. Wayne from the office was GREAT. Very knowledgeable and very helpful.

For Veterans Memorial Park: Just stayed four nights. It’s October so very quiet. A little confusing going in. Sign pointed one direction, turned out you take a left by white building and there is a red box with envelopes. We have a MH and chose to stay on firmer ground dry camping. Heavy rain was predicted. There is a great walking/bike path next to it that is 3 or 4 miles. My. Airy is Mayberry. Andy Griffith’s birthplace and where the show was filmed. Fun artifacts/memorabilia. Pilot Mountain is nearby you can drive to the top in a car/truck. Narrow,switchback road. Peaceful. VFW and American Legion Post on site.

For Veterans Memorial Park: We came at the wrong time.. just before the county fair. The rv sites with electric and water was very close to one another. The fair employees had most of the campground full so we dry camped in a field away from the full hook ups. There was no maps saying where dry camping was allowed so we just picked our own.

For Veterans Memorial Park: Staying here tonight. It's a large park and we're the only ones here. Easy access to the local greenway. Very close to downtown. A little pricey, $35.00 w/full hookups or $10.00 w/no services, used their honor system. Sites are really close, if it was busy.

For Veterans Memorial Park: Well kept, neat and clean. Good location to town is the main reason to consider paying their price. And it will be too busy around the fairs and special events. Otherwise good.
