For Mitchell Resort and RV Park: As to the prior review, this park has a lot more completed and is now mostly living up to its name and seems to be in the process of adding more sites to the ones already there. My 9 year old son was no where to be seen nearly the whole weekend playing with friends he found have a great time with all the activities they have for kids. A great place for a family with grade school aged kids. Overall a great place with a lot to do. Only downside was they had a Halloween weekend for the kids which they had a blast, but they could have made the haunted house a lot better since it was a 2-3 minute stroll through something only scary to toddlers and cost $5 per person. Other than that small disappointment the place was great. Barely got any cell reception out here but their wireless internet was not too bad for a RV park and we were able to actually stream some shows one night when the weather was bad.

For Mitchell Resort and RV Park: We stayed here at the place now called “ Great Escapes RV Resort” previously Mitchell’s. They do have some great plans for the park but it is under construction. Yet they charge as if it is all in place now. We were not only charged a pretty hefty fee, but then add on $9.00 per night for each person in your party, plus a $5.00 nightly fee for each person for the “ Special Event” weekend, which consisted of some music, some activities geared to children and a root beer float activity, where we were asked to pay an additional $1.00 for each scoop of ice cream. The tv cable which was advertised was not working, the internet was also not working. The gravel pads as advertised were nonexistent. The advertised water park was not yet completed and the swimming pool was not open. Perrin is 17 miles from Jacksboro, TX where you will find the nearest grocery store, so it is definitely a rural setting! We stayed in a 30 ft travel trailer. This park will one day live up to its name and its nightly rate, but not yet!

For Mitchell Resort and RV Park: This is a very large park and still under construction. The sites are level, gravel, and long. Some sites are closer together than others. Electricity and water were both good. No highway noise at all. Tons of places for children to play and a leash free dog park. My particular site had almost no cell service but the internet was excellent.. I finally located the cable television but had to look long and hard. It's located AT THE BASE of the box on the back of the electrical post. It was a bit pricey, $61 for my pull-through site. Only stayed one night and didn't use any of the amenities.
