For Echo State Park: We came in October and there are probably 4 others here. The reservoir is dried up so no water near us but you can see it. This is a new RV campground and it looks to be well done. Sites are not too close. All have water and electric and was told by the host that water will be available all winter. It is pricey for a state campground ($40) for having no dump. Apparently you can use the dump to the south but we are heading west. The one bath/shower house is quite a walk from where we are staying but we are self contained so it is OK. They really expect RVs with their own facilities. Overall, this is a nice place for a quick stopover. I’ll bet when the water is up it is quite nice. We will stay here again.

For Echo State Park: Utah state parks has taken over and totally renovated both the recreation area and the campground for this “new” park. It’s a real gem. We camped one night on our way east and almost had the place to ourselves. The host was great and assigned us a perfect site. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. I80 off in the distance noise wasn’t bad. Google maps takes you to the Beach recreation area which is currently closed for renovations but the campground (which you will pass by) is open. No signs for it yet! A hidden gem for sure. Yes we would come back and stay longer next time!

For Echo State Park: Our two negatives are the cost for having no dump station. We didn’t want to go to the other state park (Rockport) upon departure to dump, as it was out of our way and we didn’t even know if we would be hassled about that. Other than that however, we had a good experience. We chose it for the easy access to biking and it has a beautiful view!

For Echo State Park: Fantastic park! Recently remodeled. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, stars and loved the covered picnic tables, we were here a few weeks ago and it was empty and glorious. Id venture to say it geta BUSY in the summer with water sports etc.

For Echo State Park: Mismanaged. Could be nice if they had good managers or staff that cared.
