For East Zion Riverside RV Park: My review is from the following perspective. My wife and I travel 6-7 months a year in a 45-foot Class A Motorhome towing a trailer for our car (72-foot total length rig). We visited over 400 campgrounds, RV Parks in the last 10 years. Dry camping to Resorts, we have done them all. Generally, I would say we are NOT campers. We are travelers looking for a site to base our adventures from in our rolling home for maybe a 60-mile radius, so we are not big on RESORTS. There are a few other campgrounds in the Mount Carmel Junction/ Orderville area, and they are all pretty similar in setup. Close to the highway, all gravel pads and sites, mostly full hookups. East Zion riverside RV Park is part of the Thunderbird Hotel group that includes the hotel, RV Park, Chevron Gas station, Golf Course, Restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sites are close together but do have ample shade if you are looking for that. Water, Power, Sewer all worked as expected. Trash was picked up daily from cans in the RV Park. You have use of the Hotels Swimming pool, Hot Tub, Spa, Lobby, etc. if you are interested in those amenities. Laundry at the hotel was well maintained and reasonable at $1.50 per load. Food at the Restaurant is good. I think only two sites of the 12 in the campground have 50 amps and the rest are 30 amp. You need to be careful exiting the park if you have a big rig as the entrance/ exit is on a slight curve in the main highway and vehicles coming from the South may be traveling fast and see you pulling out with little time to react. The back of the sites have grass and there is a stream/small river back there also which could be nice if you want to hang out there. We used this campground as a base to visit Zion which is maybe a 30-minute scenic drive away. Honestly this is much better than staying on the west side of Zion which is over run with people and is mostly twice to three times as expensive. NOTE: Parking in Zion is nuts!!! Get there early to catch the shuttle. If you don’t parking in Springdale (butts up to park) is stupidly expensive. There are meters to pay for parking for 3.5 miles from the park’s entrance to west and through the entire town (I’m talking meters for parking in the dirt shoulder at the side of the highway 3 miles outside of town). It’s expensive!! And you must pay 24/7. Additionally private lots are charging $50 per day for car parking and $60 or more for class A or Class B parking if you can find it. Zion is clearly over run these days and it was surprising for Mid October when the temps were in the low 40’s at night and 60’s during the day. My iPhone 13 had 2 bars on Verizon at this location and worked fine. Hotel provides wifi that also worked well. We will stay here again anytime we are in the area and I would say plan on an extra day or two to explore the area as there are many sights to see outside of Zion including Slot Canyons that rival any you will see anywhere in the world.

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: I called in a pinch to escape a heat wave in Nevada and was given a space number, details on facilities and told to stop by when I got settled. I was apprehensive about being right on the road and worried about sketchy passer throughs but I was pleasantly surprised. Two nights in I decided to extend our stay to two weeks so we could explore Zion. The road is not as busy as it seems, the creeks behind the campsite provides for a peaceful place to sit and relax, and we have full hook ups for like $32 a night. I thought having the stores and such across the street would be a disturbance but found it to be very convenient actually. There is a store 6 minutes away that is like Mary Poppins bag of things called Terrys food and drug (and hardware) … they literally have everything in small quantities. We found a great place to get shoes and such in Kanab called Dukes Clothing. We happen to be here in Fourth of July and the town had a nice little “festival”. The thunderbird restaurant right across the road was great and the waiter was joyful. This was an unplanned stop that really turned into a nice place to explore. If we are ever passing through this area again we will stay here. There are several other parks that APPEAR to be more secluded but they are dirt lots with no shade and this lot is large rocks (less dirt getting tracked in) and plenty of trees for shade which was perfect for our three dogs.. oh that is another thing, they didn’t have a problem when I said I have three dogs one of which is 180 Great Dane! All in all it’s been really peaceful and there are no facilities on site but you have access to laundry and the pool at the best western right across the road.

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: We stayed 4 nights at East Zion RV Park in a 36’ class A. While the sites are pretty close to UT89, things were pretty peaceful at night. We had access to the pool and services at the Best Western motel across the road. While the road is busy, we had no problem crossing it. There are 2 gas stations, a restaurant, gift shop and convenience stores nearby. It is very convenient to Zion National Park and a little over an hour to Bryce, We had intended to stay 5 nights but the wind was so bad coming north from Flagstaff to Page that we had to call and tell them we were going to have to wait it out at Page the first night. They were kind enough to not charge us for the first night. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: Awesome people, especially the manager Gordon. Their RV sites were full, but Gordon offered an alternative site off their main property - if we were interested. Turned out to be a great location and an exceptional bargain just up the road. We’ve meet so many kind folks in Utah, but Gordon & his team are the best example yet!

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: Amanda was great....called her less than a minute out. She hooked us up. Great place to stop and get a good nights rest. Full hook ups 30 50 am. Creek behind us was a nice touch. Deer were feeding across the street at a field. To top top it off the price was right. 35.00

ThirstyDragon

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: This campground is a narrow parking not on the east side of Highway 89, across from the Best Western (it is their campground). It was $25/night for full hook-ups (30amp only). The sites are extremely tight, but don’t let that dissuade you. Although very narrow, the lot backs up to a 10’ wide grass area that extends the entire length of the lot and is bordered by the East Fork of the Virgin River. We set-up our camping chairs and such on this grassy area, right next to the river, and it was very nice. No bathroom facilities on-site, and laundry is done at the Best Western across the street. There is some highway noise from Highway 89, but the highway isn’t that busy. We had full LTE AT&T and Verizon service. We were in our 35’ fifth wheel, and we would stay there again.

Kjersti

For East Zion Riverside RV Park: Level spots in close vicinity to Zion. Otherwise, no facilities. You have to walk across a busy highway to use the bathroom at the hotel. We showed them the website the Allstate app sent us to with a price quote of $18, but they still charged us $25. If it wasn’t for a threat of rain and getting stuck in the mud, the free BLM sites down the road would’ve been much more pleasant.
