Staff was nice but not the place to stay if you want sleep. “Frat party” went on till around midnight then dogs barking and train whistles all night long.

Pretty park with some nice shaded sites around the perimeter of loop C. Unfortunately, we were in the middle where the spaces weren’t long enough to allow me to park my tv in front of the 27’ trailer. Most campers parked at a 90 degree angle in front of the trailer, resulting in mud pits. The paved sites were also narrow and not angled. Showers were nice with great pressure. The dog beach is a healthy 1/2 - 3/4 mile walk from the parking lot. The beach was nice.

Nice, well maintained park. We stayed in C loop last year, I forget which number, and B loop spot 41. Both of them power only. B loop is definitely better then C. Trees for shade and a lot of pull throughs. But still a little close to neighbors. I would suggest tent camping in A. It seemed very damp and musty smelling. A nice paved walking trail to the beach.

This is not what I think of as 5*! Each site might have 20 feet of separation. It’s more like a parking lot. Granted, it’s close to family activities, so I guess that’s the draw. Huge Halloween party this weekend was fun to see, but this is not camping in my view. Shower facilities couldn’t handle the volume.

Nice ample sites in C Loop. Pretty level. Too many barking dogs.

Beach access is a little further than expected, but all else is a win. Very peaceful. The bathrooms are top-notch.

We absolutely loved this state park! The sites were large and grassy with shade to boot. There was a wonderful bike path from the campground over to the beach area. Everyone in the campground was just so friendly, we even made some friends we have stayed in contact with. Lots of bathhouses located throughout the park, so easy access. Wish we had stayed longer.

Very nice park and lots are well maintained. We occupied 3 sights in B section (1,2,& 3) which were EXTREMELY unlevel. I was on B-3 and had 2 blocks under my left tires with the front tongue raised 32" off the ground ( jack fully extended plus 5 2×6 boards). The camp host across the street made it very clear that she did not like dogs and they MUST be on a leash at ALL TIMES. Many other campers also referenced her as the Camp Gastopo.I would also like to note that for a Camp Host she failed to show a good example of a neat lot. It was cluttered and appeared messy. I kept my rear shade down so I didn't have to look at it. I have to admit the rest of the staff was more than friendly. Loose the host and level the lot to get 5 stars.

Probably the best State Park we’ve been to. Well maintained and plenty of room to enjoy! Been here every year for the past 6 years. Showers are cleaned regularly. Store has most of what you might need. Area has a lot of fun things to do and see.You can’t go wrong camping here. We will continue to camp here. Plus if you have a Golden Buckeye card you get to camp at half price during the week.

Beautiful and huge park and campground. Spacious and with many amenities. Lots to do nearby, we wish we could stay much more than a couple of days.
