For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: There are definitely more than 6 or 7 sites here. This is open range, so you will encounter cows. We drove in past a closed gate and found a spacious spot for 2 campers. The sign says to be sure to leave all gates as they were found. It is beautiful, open grassland with mountain views all around. We are driving a 30 foot Class A motorhome and the roads were very good, even after heavy rain. They are sand, not mud. Be sure to check out some of the local wineries!

For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: This camp area is easy to get to from HWY 83 with partially paved road. Grassland area with views of mountains all around. Only 18 miles to Patagonia (population of about 1,000) that has all the essential amenities with two small grocery stores, a few cafes, public restrooms, some shops and believe it or not 24 hour gas (next to Patagonia Market). Like many BLM camp areas it is best to find your campsite during the day if possible. Even with headlights on it can be difficult to find a legitimate spot (I almost drove over a fire pit lol).

For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: Stayed at Las Cieneguitas BLM site in the high grasslands. Beautiful spot surrounded by mountains and valleys as far as the eye can see. Somebody (presumably BLM) is clearing a lot of trees, which will ensure ample fireplace wood for the future. Quiet and a bit chilly with a little overnight snow on the mountains to our west. It’s dry camping of course, and one needs to be completely self sufficient, but that has its rewards as well!

For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: Stayed out at Las Cieneguitas grasslands with some friends in October 2018. Plenty of space to camp and larger RVs will make it out there. Our friends brought their 40ft toy hauler and it fit easily. Be careful if building a fire as it does get windy at times!

For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: If you like rolling grasslands, this can't be beat. Roads are good, campsites spacious and private.

For Cieneguita Primitive Camp & Picnic Area BLM Las Cienegas NCA: Great dry camping spot. 14 day max with in a 6 month period. AT@T and Verizon work. No water or facilities so bring everything. Did not have to pay. Roads real rough though so go slow.
