For Launch Pointe Recreation RV Park: We arrived late on Saturday. They had a spot, but we had to pay for two nights even tho it was a one night stay. They have a system that does not let them except payment for one night on weekends. Then they offered their most expensive site. The lesser expensive site by $10 put us next to the playground. I suggest you do not go out of your way to stay here. There are no trees or privacy.

For Launch Pointe Recreation RV Park: Very nice campground, everything looks new, but looks like they've taken a big hit from Covid. Completely fenced with fobs to access gates. Restaurant and store on property, but closed. Sites were large and fairly private with fence and trees. Great kids playground and water play area. Very dog friendly with beach area open to run dogs. Small dog run in separate area. Lovely grounds for playing ball, beautiful pool and hot tub all included. Laundry looks brand new. Nice, friendly staff. Bathrooms clean and with hot showers, but not up to the quality of the rest of the park. Tiny pea gravel everywhere, including sloped areas, so very easy to slip and fall (which I did with a lot of "road rash"). Cute "vintage village" of airstreams for rent. I just ignored the paperwork they sent - they never noticed! Expensive even for a private park, but you get the feeling they are trying to make a go of it. Great ballpark for minor league games! Not much to do in Lake Elsinore. One hour drive to coast.

For Launch Pointe Recreation RV Park: Stayed here for two nights. This is a part of the Launch Point complex on the lake owned by the city of Lake Elsinore. Well maintained, virtuous staff and clean. RV sites are well laid out some have nice lake views but none are close to the water. The closest is about 100 yards from the lake and there is a fence between you and the water separating the “beach” area. Only one gate to get to the beach and it was closed in the morning when I wanted to take the dog down for a walk by the water. Very kid friendly for a summer visit with a splash pad and nice size pool. Kids playground was nice too. We had our granddaughter who is 10 visit with one of her friends and they loved it in the 100 degree heat. Theo lace is very well maintained and the WiFi actually worked well. The reason I gave them only three stars is because of the fees and legal bull you have to sign saying you will defend the city from any lawsuit for anything that happens even if it’s their fault. You have an accident and they can come after you but if their employee drives his cart into your rig too bad. Sorry but I just hate the california legal system. The other big draw back to the site is they charge for everything. When we made the reservation it was for just the wife and I. It was $10.00 extra for each of of our visitors to visit. Overall a nice place for most travelers just not cheap or non- staying visitor friendly.
