For Pleasure Cove Marina - Lake Berryessa: First, I want to commend the park staff. They responded very sympathetically to my tears of horror and I have received a full refund for our cancelled stay. The office manager and gate guard were lovely women and I thank them both. Otherwise, this park is not for tourists or anyone looking for a quiet, lakeside respite. The full hookups are on the shoulder of the road that you have to somehow back into....assuming someone's truck isn't sitting in your space or on top of the hookups which they were in our case. Squashed in like sardines. To me, it was like driving into Dante's hell. This will appeal to rowdy, beer-drinking, steam-releasing folks. Didn't work for us. This being said, being run off was probably a good thing since the wildfires broke out close by and we were elsewhere when that happened. You really want to pay heed to this and other, online reviews before choosing to stay here. Unless you like such environments, of course.
