For La Plata County Fairgrounds: Stayed a couple nights, in town to ride Steam Train. It was quiet both nights there. Not a bad price for Downtown Durango.

For La Plata County Fairgrounds: Price is now $26 per night plus convenience fee as we had to pay over the phone. No walk up rentals during Covid restrictions. Some homeless hanging around but they try to blend in. Lots of teenagers in the parking area, but gone after 2:00am. Had to share my water hookup with 2 other rigs. Better than Walmart for sure.

KP

For La Plata County Fairgrounds: Price has increased to $25 per night. I agree with other reviews. Only other comment is that the associated Parking lot is the town’s sanctioned teenage hangout on Friday and Saturday nights. So you will hear a lot of bass speakers, cars and trucks without mufflers, tire burn-outs, and yelling. But they leave around 3AM.

BD

For La Plata County Fairgrounds: I love this RV site.

Sure it's essentially a large gravel parking lot, but:

- it's in the city of Durango. Awesome
- next door is the fabulous city gym. Day pass $7.
- urban trail and river just a few steps away.
- Starbuck is next door.
- this place rocks, as an urban, city stop.
- hang out in Durango and get your Mountian town on, you have all winter to camp in the desert at Quartzite!

For La Plata County Fairgrounds: Depending on your needs, I found this pretty awesome. Here's why:

- i have to work and have to have a good cellular signal. Verizon 5 bars LTE.

- I do not need a sanitary connection.

- more of a downtown type location. Walk to Starbucks, etc.

- incredible gym next door!

- $16 bucks a night.

You probably won't like it if your looking for scenery.

Seems like the young kids from the school are smoking too much pot in restrooms...

Mark

For La Plata County Fairgrounds: This is a great spot directly in the town of Durango. They require reservations and have good electric and water. Keep in mind that you're camping here for location and out of you. You are in a rock parking lot in the back of the fairgrounds.

The only fallback is that the parking lot for the fairgrounds is like the redneck highway. These young kids in big diesel trucks drag race through the parking lot all night long. I have reported it so hopefully it gets fixed
